| League-leaders Wolves and play-off chasing Ipswich played out a goalless draw at Molineux. Paul Bloomfield reports.Wright tipped over David Jones’ 25-yard free kick in the 23rd minute to prevent the home side from taking the lead. Kyel Reid then came close from a free-kick from an even greater distance, with the ball going narrowly wide of Richard Wright’s post. In the second half, Wolves had their best chance to score when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake smashed a shot against the crossbar after Alan Quinn gifted him the ball inside the box. Town had an excellent chance to win the game themselves late on, when Jon Stead appeared to assume that he had been given offside, when the linesman’s flag had stayed down. Under normal circumstances, the draw could be considered as a good result for the Blues. In reality, a draw doesn’t do much at all for Town’s play-off prospects.
