As you're reading this, you probably love football - we do too! LiveFootball has had various faces over the years - we've been going since 2002! We started out as a fantasy football site, which at its peak attracted around 17,000 players a season - mainly because we were one of, if not the first free to play sites on the web. Sadly, with success comes copycats, and we didn't have the time or cash available to stay ahead of the pack. We shifted our focus in 2005 to football news, and again had reasonable success, but quickly realised that the two founders couldn't keep things up to date. Now we're back after a short absence whilst we developed better systems, and we're ready to go - and you can help us. If you love football, you should become a part of our movement. We're looking for anyone who has an opinion and can express themselves clearly in writing to help us build our football community, and really provide a great free service. Whether you want to write about the current news stories of the football world, submit match reports, stoke the fires of the rumour mill or remember past legends of the game, then this is the place for you. You might be wondering whats in it for us, and indeed who we are. Our motivation is building a truely great site. Not a pretty site that pops up windows and blows raspberries at you - we mean a great information site. We also want to provide everything for free. Yes, we'll invite people to sign up to the site so we know who they are, but we'll never force the issue. As for who we are, we're Chris and George. Chris is the techie, and George is the content man - the man most of our initial contributors are dealing with directly. Neither of us are experts in the English language, and neither of us mind picking up the phone if you fancy a chat about joining our mission. We don't put phone numbers on the site because we tend to get rather a lot of odd calls when we do that, but if you email us via the contact form with your number, we'll call you back (which means we're paying!) So, does it sound good then? Or at the very least a bit intriguing? If so, drop us a line here, or if you're ready to go, why not sign up here |
