Rampaging Rams too strong for Canaries. The Rams gain credible point against one of the favourites for automatic promotion. The only transfer activity of any note on deadline day for Derby County was that of full-back Tyrone Mears joining Olympique Marseille on a season-long loan deal, with a view to a permanent move next summer. Derby County defender Alan Stubbs has retired from the professional game, after a recurrence of a knee injury that kept him out of the latter part of last season.
