Spain 0 Switzerland 1 - Group H - World Cup 2010 - Shock Defeat for Euro 08 Champions!

It took the final game of the first round of matches to produce a major upset. Spain, for whom many experts tipped as potential favourites to lift the World Cup, were unable to convert possession into points as they lost to the only goal of the game scored by Fernandes.

New Zealand 1 Slovakia 1 - World Cup 2010 - Group F

A dramatic end to the second fixture in Group F saw New Zealand attain their first ever point in the World Cup Finals. Winston Reid’s header from 8 yards came in the 3rd minute of added time to draw the Kiwis level.
